Fire: part 1

Master copy

For my digital class we had this master copy exercise. Although these assignments are often considered tedious, it really is a great way to learn, no matter how grumpy you are about it. I chose Sargent's Rosina so I could practice with texture and different brushes. I absolutely love her character (which is often a rare element in classical portraiture).

So this is some of the stuff I've been working on for my thesis lately. Pre-pre-production honestly, but sometimes it's interesting to watch a work process. Maybe I'll post some color thumbs next!
